Dr. Francisco Ramos will be retiring on June 30, 2020. Dr. Ramos graduated with his MD from the Puerto Rico School of Medicine in 1977 where he also completed his Dermatology Residency. He served as an Assistant Professor at the University of Miami for five years prior to coming to the University of Florida in 1989 where he was one of the founding members when it was a division in the Department of Medicine. He has served in several administrative roles for the department over the years including Interim Chief, Medical Director, Interim Program Director, Associate Chief and Compliance Officer. At times he was one of a few dermatologists responsible for inpatient and outpatient services related to dermatology. There is no question that his presence and hard work for all of these years helped preserve UF Dermatology so that it could achieve Department status.
Thank you, Dr. Ramos, for your many years of service to the University of Florida and Dermatology.
