This recognition is a testament to the collective efforts of the entire program – program leadership, faculty, trainees, and coordinator. The dedication, collaboration, and commitment to excellence demonstrated by the team are what make outstanding training programs possible, and this achievement reflects that shared work.
The award will be formally presented at the UF College of Medicine Annual Celebration of Excellence in Medical Education reception on April 2, 2026, at the Hilton University of Florida Conference Center.
Each year, housestaff (and only housestaff) is invited to submit nominations for the GME Program of the Year Award. Programs in good standing that receive nominations are then invited to submit a secondary application highlighting their achievements. A selection committee – composed of Program Directors, housestaff, and coordinators – carefully reviews the applications and selects a winner.
With 81 ACGME-accredited and more than 60 non-ACGME programs eligible, this recognition represents a truly exceptional accomplishment. Congratulations again to the entire team – we are so proud!
