Continuity clinics provides resident physicians a mechanism to follow adult and pediatric patients in a longitudinal, long-term fashion.
In addition to the competencies of General Dermatology clinics, residents will learn to:
- Assume responsibility for dermatologic care and oversee appropriate laboratory evaluation, consultation, and coordination of care
- Observe the natural history and progression of dermatologic disease
- Establish rapport with patients
- Learn to effectively communicate with patients, families and support personnel
