(PGY 2, 3 and 4)

Specialty clinics provide coordinated care, develop and promote expertise, and provide in-depth, focused education to residents. Adults of all ages, ethnicity and socioeconomic backgrounds are evaluated and treated.

Residents will learn to:

Apply and interpret patch tests and diagnose, and treat patients with contact dermatitis
Evaluate and care for patients with moderate or severe atopic dermatitis
Provide long-term care and follow-up to patients with pigmented lesions and higher risk for melanoma, including dermoscopy and reflectance confocal microscopy
Utilize clinical, immunopathologic, and serologic findings to diagnose immunobullous disorders and select appropriate systemic therapies for their treatment
Provide long-term care and follow-up to patients at higher risk for nonmelanoma skin cancer, particularly transplant recipients or patients with a history of immunosuppression
