Vascular Anomalies Clinic

Vascular Anomalies include both vascular tumors and vascular malformations. Vascular tumors can be classified as benign, borderline or malignant, and vascular malformations include capillary malformations (port wine birthmarks), lymphatic malformations, venous malformations and arteriovenous malformations. These can occur in isolation or be a part of a syndrome. Patients are often receive a diagnosis of a vascular anomaly at birth or in the first few weeks-months of life. It is important to diagnose the exact type of vascular anomaly as this will dictate the appropriate treatment options.

The UF Health Vascular Anomaly Conference provides this multidisciplinary team approach with dermatology, hematology/oncology, interventional radiology, plastic surgery, general surgery, orthopedic surgery, otorhinolaryngology (ENT), dental surgery and urology.

UF Health hosts a monthly vascular anomaly tumor board where patients with vascular anomalies are discussed, clinical and radiographic images are reviewed and a comprehensive treatment plan is made.
