Sarah Contreras, MD

I was born and raised in Venezuela and earned my medical degree from the esteemed Universidad de Los Andes in Mérida. I completed a preliminary residency in pediatrics followed by a dermatology residency at the Dr. Carlos Arvelo University Military Hospital in Caracas. Subsequently, I practiced dermatology in private practice in Venezuela before emigrating to the United States, where I obtained my ECFMG certification.

I’ve also completed a complex dermatology fellowship at the University of Florida and am excited to continue my academic career as a member of the UF faculty. My clinical interests include skin cancer, hidradenitis suppurativa and vulvar dermatology.

As a dermatologist with UF Health[TE1.1], I am passionate about providing comprehensive, compassionate care while contributing to medical education. I’m eager to use both Spanish and English to connect with and serve Jacksonville’s diverse patient community.
