About Alexander Daoud

Dr. Alexander Daoud is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained cosmetic and laser specialist who is the current (Mohs) Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology Fellow at the University of Florida. Dr. Daoud attended Emory University for his undergraduate studies, and thereafter he was the recipient of a full-tuition, merit-based academic scholarship to attend medical school at the Florida International University College of Medicine. During his time in medical school, Dr. Daoud was awarded further scholarships by the Rotary Club of Miami and served as a tutor for medical students of all levels. He was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society as a junior medical student, and he graduated as Valedictorian of his medical school class.

After completing medical school, Dr. Daoud completed his internship in Internal Medicine at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City. He then moved to Long Island, NY to complete residency in Dermatology at Stony Brook University Hospital, where he served as Chief Resident of the Northport Veteran Affairs Medical Center.

Following residency, Dr. Daoud completed his cosmetic dermatologic surgery fellowship under internationally renowned leaders Drs. Robert Weiss and Margaret Weiss. He received advanced training in laser medicine and surgery, neuromodulators (such as Botox), injectable fillers, minimally-invasive facial rejuvenation, and minimally-invasive vein surgery. Thereafter, Dr. Daoud began a highly competitive (Mohs) micrographic surgery and dermatologic oncology fellowship at the University of Florida under the mentorship of Dr. Sailesh Konda, Dr. Abel Torres, Dr. Scott Fosko, and Dr. Joseph Francis.

Dr. Daoud has authored peer-reviewed journal publications and book chapters on cosmetic and surgical dermatology. He has written and conducted clinical studies in cosmetic dermatology and has presented on dermatologic oncology, laser medicine and surgery, vein surgery, and aesthetic advancements at universities across the United States, as well as international dermatology conferences.

Dr. Daoud’s philosophy to patient care is that he and his patients are a team on the journey to optimal health. Through open communication, friendliness, and a persistent drive to advocate for his patient’s interests, he takes a conversational yet professional approach to patient encounters that leaves patients feeling empowered in their own care. His interests in dermatology include complex reconstructive surgery, laser-assisted drug delivery, vein disease, and medical education.
