The University of Florida Department of Dermatology is a leader in the education of medical students, residents, fellows and practicing dermatologist. Our Department offers these fellowship programs:
Dermatopathology Fellowship
This is an ACGME-accredited fellowship in Dermatopathology that begins July 1 of each year. The Dermatopathology Unit interprets over 90,000 skin biopsies per year, including interesting cases from Shands Hospital and the Department of Dermatology. The latter receives specimens from across the state of Florida and the entire Southeast with an active outside consultation service.
Micrographic Surgery & Dermatologic Oncology Fellowship
The UF Department of Dermatology, Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology Fellowship (MSDO) is a one-year ACGME accredited training program whose mission is to train future Mohs and dermatologic surgeons, who can advance the field of Dermatologic Oncology and Mohs Surgery and help meet the health needs of the Northern Florida population/patients.
